8 Day Quirimbas Archipelago

Activities can include scuba diving, snorkeling, game fishing, whale and dolphin watching; island hopping and exploring, mangrove excursions and historical dhow cruises and safaris. Cultural exchanges are abundant and you will have the chance to interact with the islanders and catch a glimpse of an ancient lifestyle. With an amazing variety of birdlife the archipelago is also an ornithological paradise.

Day 1- Pemba to Quipaco Island
Arrive in Pemba, meet and greet assistance and transfer to yachts. Motor for Quirimbas Archipelago. Fish while underway to overnight anchorage. Overnight Tari Bay / Quipaco Island (one of the 11 islands in the Quirimbas National Park).

Day 2 – Quisiva Island
Wake up to coffee / tea and a light snack before diving. Return to breakfast and a 2nd dive after breakfast. While underway to Quisiva Island for overnight anchorage / dive sites & game fishing can be enjoyed. Overnight in Quisiva Island.

Day 3- Quilelea Island
Wake up to coffee / tea and a light snack before diving. Return to breakfast and a 2nd dive after breakfast. While underway to Quilalea region for overnight anchorage / dive sites & game fishing can be enjoyed. Overnight in Quilalea Island

Day 4 – Ibo Island
Rise to coffee / tea and light snack before diving. Return to breakfast and a 2nd dive after breakfast. Depart for Ibo. Explore Ibo Island and its history. Overnight at Ibo Island.

Day 5 -Matemo and Rolas Island
Rise to coffee / tea and light snack before heading to Matemo and Rolas Islands. Explore Matemo and Rolas Island, dive and fish and spend some time at the island resort on Matemo Island.

Day 6- Matemo Island to Quilalea Island
Matemo Island and Rolas Island, diving, fishing and exploring.
In the late after noon we will begin to motor south, anchoring overnight in and around Quilalea Island for dinner.

Day 7 – Quilálea Island & Sencar Island Marine Sanctuary
Wake up to coffee / tea and a light snack before diving. Return to breakfast and a 2nd dive after breakfast. Explore the Marine Sanctuary and Secar Island. Overnight head back to Pemba.

Day 8 – Pemba for Departure
Late in the evening while guests are sleeping the yacht will sail overnight to arrive in Pemba in time for a late morning departure for Pemba airport.
